Shakespeare's People Are Like Certain Animals

Many like to assert that Shakespeare had a background in whatever their background might be which is understandable. Ultimately the metaphors that he returns to when contemplating his situation and it doesn't matter whether he finds himself in city or middle of forest, are how he understands the world. A contemplation of animals can also serve to reflect the part we find ourselves playing the stage with comedies being more about man's disconnect from natural order.
