Filming on the Ice
I'd never done a major picture at a big studio. We went to Finland in the winter and we filmed on the ice. It was the most extraordinary experience because the Baltic would freeze. And of course, the final sequences of the film is when there's an invasion. There's a crazy billionaire who wants to invade Russia by driving all these armed trucks across the sea. They copied something from Alexander Nevsky where the horseman Gallop across the frozen sea and the ice breaks. And they drowned. I did this with all these trucks which we had to film on the tank of Pinewood. That was my break as that was a big picture. 38. Wow.
