Is There a Difference Between Democracy and a Republic?

The constitution would be something that any of us can read. It is written in a sort of a legal language to say if guard against certain situations which might not have been anticipated. I found the level of ignorance was quite bad. Any educated people who are actually quite well known they do not know the difference between a democracy and a republic. They said we thought it is the same thing. So forget even saying something like article 15 that will be Greek and Latin to them. Democracy and republic if you do not know then how will you know nation state, civilizational state and all? You are expecting too much so I felt and you said my book is written  in a fast moving way
