In 2014, an FDA rule was finalized that required chain restaurants and like large scale vending machine operators to display the calories on menus. Do these rules work like rules requiring nutritional value to be written out? Does that help in fighting obesity? And if it works, is there a cost? Yeah, great question. I mean, if these rules worked, then you would think that obesity would be going down. But they're not. The people who most need this information aren't using it.
