In practice, even if this is open sourced, most people cannot run these models. Open source means you release the weights of a model, but it still requires a supercomputer to actually run it. And so there's this kind of like treadmilling effect where when we think about the costs of using these models for malicious purposes or whatever. So especially given that, I think there's an easy argument to be made that things as powerful as GP4 should be at least not open source.
