Women still make up a very small percentage of the overall faculty, but they only make up less than a percent of all the laureates that have won Nobel Prizes. Part of that traces to the fact that there is a sort of old boys network at work. They changed the laws in 1974 to prevent posthumous awards. But it's not too late for Jocelyn Bell.
