The Thing That Was Not Daddy
Sara jumped back as the stumbling, burning form of the thing that was not daddy fell to its knees in an effort to grab her. Sara ran again, this im off the main road and down into the mess of wild flowers and brambles that line the hillside. Every road in appalacha has a hillside like this, where any attempt at human development just stops. There's no cut grass or cultivated greenery, just rough, unkempt weeds tangled with sticky vines and rs. Ba, baby girl. They won't let me come to you. Come.
