The We and the Us in Ephesians 1
Listen to doctor piper as he expounds a little bit more on ephesians chapter one. He's talking about a predestination that lies behind and in this decision to bring us a adopted people and inheritance. In him, in christ, we have obtained an inheritance having been predestined. And so when it says you're chosen in him, where are you when you're chosen? You're already in Christ. When the jew and those who are faithful in christ believe through their message, there therefore are grafted into faith. This hasa prehistorical meaning but accords with something, ok?
