The Courage to Kill
I was struck by something you wrote in your memoir, which is that after writing and publishing the courage to heal, you were famous for the worst thing that ever happened to you. And i can't really imagine that experience. I think a lot of writers are putting on the page things that feel dangerous or taboo. But there's a desire under all that to be read, which could lead to being famous. It sounds like it was very much of a double edged sword for youye, it was. You know, when i would give these talks, sometimes to like, huge audiences, auditoriums full of women who had traveled across state lines to hear me speak.
