The Best Systematic Traders Are Lazy When Running Their Systems
The best systematic traders will be diligent when creating their systems, but lazy when running them. A good system which is set up properly isn't taking too much risk and has all the right controls in place should not need to be meddled with. The thing I've learned is it's much better to take a lot more time over designing your system thinking about what flaws it could have. And then if you've done a good job, you should literally never have to touch it. But ideally, you could just employ someone to check that it's running properly every day and then go to the beach.
