The Importance of Ice in the World
As a boy, I remember walking down a frozen river by our cabin up in the Cascade Mountains. And at first I was most interested in what ice had already accomplished and shaping the landscape of the mountains. The longer I was in the mountains, I started to become interested in ice itself and study how it moved and how it operated. Now, ice will be in the news for years to come.
