The Book of Genesis - Is There a Deception?

One of the themes that we find in the full narrative is the idea of deception. i wonder if lewis is really trying to help his readers understand how important trust is, and how easily that trust can be broken. And looking at edmund, i mean, yes, he does theme very sillye, naughty things, but you always have the impression he's redeemable. This is not necessarily because he's a bad person,. It's because he's weak, and maybe there's something can be done about this.
