Apple had to publicly announce supply issues for the iPhone 14 pro and iPhone 14 pro max because it would make a significant impact on their holiday earnings. Apple cannot fulfill demand. This is primarily due to covid shutdowns and lockdowns inside of China, then riots at their factories. The impact is like millions of iPhones that won't be made.
