The word spaz is an ableist slur, which Beyonce is now going to go back and edit out of her recent record. It isn't that interesting because one of the premises in 1984 was that the government would architect the language such that it was not possible for you to have thoughts that the government didn't want you to have. That's right. The government didn't do it. We did it to ourselves.
