The Status of Monarch Populations in Mexico

There's been discussion about monarchs listed as an endangered species. Since 2014, the last five years or so have been certainly higher population abundances than that all time low, 2010 to 2014. I sort of feel like we're in the stabilized low range of monarch populations. It's still nowhere near early 2000s or late 1990s populations, but we're kind of out of the red zone, at least for now.
