I went to undergrad thinking of being a journalist or a lawyer. But during that study and thinking about my education itself, the role of science came up a lot. So I knew I was going to go to grad school. And I wanted to continue a life in academia. But I had to choose. Do I do political philosophy and go to graduate school and that? Or do I do physics? Ultimately decided that I would go do physics for practical and philosophical reasons.
