Pork Prices in China - What's the Solution?
The equivalent would be to call the entire national herd and tell the country it has to go without pork for a year or more. It's important to understand how psychologically important the pork price is here. When petral prices get high in the us, everyone gets inordinately upset. And there's something like that at work with pork prices in china. The plan of stock piling, of obfiscating information doesn't sound sustainable. An out and out call would be calamitous, psychologically and perhaps also financially. What is the solution here? In the longer term, there are hopes that a magic bullet appears in the form of a vaccine. No certainty at all that an effective one
