We found gold, but it was only there through a set of specific circumstances and coincidences that happened throughout geological time. In order for the hydrothermal fluids to have stripped it out, there needs to be the right sort of pressures to form them. It has to be a sudden precipitation, because if you had a very slow cooling down of fluid, actually your gold would be strewn over quite a large area as it cooledQuite slowly. You need a sudden, rapid drop in temperature so it all drops it in one specific spot. That means you've got a large con ration, and therefore you'vegot a nice, rich gold deposit. Or.
