Peter Navarrette: I think the US dollar is going to sink faster than a number of other currencies that don't have the same macroeconomic problems that we have. He says all these currencies are going to depreciate relative to gold over time and he thinks countries with more fiscally responsible governments will be able to increase their gold reserves. "I do believe that at some point when the dollar is abandoned as the reserve asset it's not that foreign central banks are going to look to the euro or the yen or the yuan to replace the dollar" said Navarrette.
