Social Engineering Scam - Pig Butchering
The new social engineering scam is called Pig Butchering. The analogy is apparently with fattening up a pig, then butchering it for all it's worth. It begins with sort of a cold call or a text that just says, hey, it was good to catch up last week. And the closer and deeper they can get this relationship, the more they might be able to scam you.
