This year is really a step towards bringing the show back to a position of prominence, seriousness, but also very entertaining. Having Jimmy, Glenn, and Ricky, who were live TV experts, was very intentional. People are interested in the movies. They want the show to be authentic. We're the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. This is about movies. The arts of filmmaking, the filmmakers, the glamour, not ripping our industry apart.
