Could the Expansion of the Universe Be Making Black Holes Bigger?

Scientists have found that black holes are growing at a higher rate than the galaxies around them. They're also increasing at a rate that seems to match the expansion of the universe. This is an interesting result, right? That hadn't been published before. But it's just that the ideas they're putting forth to maybe explain this are a little bit on the fringe side.
