The Problem of Biluminescence in the Ocean
When the soviet threat went away, my funding went away with a pop. But then it came back, because during desert storm, one of the seal teams actually had to change its insertion point because of biluminescence. Cause turns out seals don't like to light up like roman candles when they're coming under darkness. And so it kind of all spun up again. Now it shifted from an interest in b luminescence in the open ocean environment by luminescent in the coastal ocean environment.
