Creating a Community in a Chat Environment

Chat has become a viable alternative to the forum post based. It's almost just this initial vibe when you walk in the door. That first impression makes a big difference, just logistically. How searchable is another one i have written down as easy on boarding. If a community virtually isn't worth welcoming, you can pretty easily turn of your phone or clothes. Yo, lop top. Yall's thoughts? An that either expanding on those or adding other components we haven't talked about yet.
