The Importance of Being Made in God's Image
The Bible describes this as being made in God's image. That means that we have the capacity, first of all, to know Him and imagine counterfactuals like what might have been. The assumption that the world is simply a part of a larger cosmos runs on its own - which is hubris. We are put on the earth in order to till the ground to bring about a crop but also given stewardship.
