The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous
I just think Julie Cooper is criminally underrated in this country, she's such an interesting and funny and beady writer. I've been re-reading the man who made husbands jealous lately and I think he's my favourite because Rupert Campbell Black is just horrible. There's a brilliant scene where Rupert grabs somebody of Red Roll, butters it and puts the salt on it and goes eat that,. I always think that's just the most romantic brilliant scene. This is wonderful, this is making my heart swell, it makes me so happy. And again in a way I suppose she's probably really doing something very similar to Dickens in a different way.
