How I Became an Activist Short Seller After the 2008 Financial Crisis
Prior to becoming the activist short seller, as you know, and today, like what we're doing prior, I understand you were still active in markets, but in a slightly different way. Well, I was actually an operator. I was high to mid level executive in a jewelry company from 93 to 2006. And he was very successful, like the fund was up 47% in 2006 and 49% in 2007. But between October and November 2008, we're down 79%. It was Democrats and Republicans blowing us off. He felt like they slanted it that way, which was unfortunate.
