The Impenetrability of Science

I think the general distrust comes from the facts. Science is actually quite hard, like not in a bragging kind of way. Any subject done to a high level is difficult. And then you add in the complexity that the language of science often isn't the natural language in which you otherwise interact with the world. I think these days scientists are trying their damnedest to explain it better and try to get people interested in science.
