ISIS took it a step further and decided that there are certain elements in which you can no longer be Muslim under. The act of calling somebody an infidel now makes them a legal target quote unquote. So they got so swept up in their ideology and this took fear is that they actually started turning on each other. Like the West reports, this didn't really have to do anything.

In the finale episode of season one, Lilith continues the discussion on the concept of asymmetric warfare; war where there are significant mismatches in relative military power, and compares the strategies used by weaker nations to gain the advantage against stronger nations to female resistance.
