Functional Programming - Is There a Lot of Functionality in O O?

There are a lot of great things in o o that, ah, we use as we know functional programmes. It's very useful to have the kind of open polymorphism that o o has. The idea of information hiding a i think is valuable. We talk about something very similar, which is called an abstraction barrier.
