Introduction
Mat skinner: This week's parable is a little more confusing and you don't really know your place in it. He says the rich man has done something wrong and is in torment as a result. But he asks, what has lazarus done that's virtuous? To him, that one's easier to answer. It appears that he's done nothing except be poor and suffer. And yet god welcomes him and reaches out to him or embraces him. Mat skinner: The way in which the reality of neglecting the poor for the sake of...one's own justification is what gets them played out in this story.
