How to Challenge Peremptory Strikes

It cannot be constitutional to use a peremptory strike to remove a juror simply because they are the same race as the defendant. There is a critical Supreme Court case called batson v. Kentucky that addresses this very issue. In some states, there's never been a successful backs and challenge. And so states are looking for other ways to decide how we should allow attorneys to use prompter strikes, but not allow them to use them such that black girls are moved from the pool at a very high rate.
