The Importance of Training Yourself to Bail Out

Jack Holder was a mechanic on the airfield when Pearl Harbor happened. He saw planes come over the mountains, banked down over the airfield and they strafed the airfield. So he jumped into this ditch and then he jumps up, runs the edge of the water,. Then he watches them bank, drop and come in and drop the first torpedoes. Jack went on to become a PBY pilot who flew in the Pacific and sank a Japanese aircraft carrier and a Japanese submarine. His story inspired "The Man Who Knew Too Much," which airs tonight at 10 p.m. ET on PBS.
