The Future of Violence in the Metaverse
Britain pointed out that the technology is advancing to make the metaverse feel more and more real. When you're looking at a virtual world and potentially wearing haptics, you may actually be able to feel what it feels like when somebody virtually touches you. And because it's the internet, I can imagine it won't take long for people to start behaving badly towards one another. It's already happening. But is bad behavior on an XR platform really the same as bad behavior in real life? Like, it's never going to cause actual bodily harm, right?
