Cinematographers and Visual Effects
The cinematographer in my opinion should be the arbiter of the visual look of the film. And yet I get that visual effects have to deliver what they have to deliver. So I always get to know them right away because oftentimes visual effects wants to shoot a scene to get their elements in a certain way that Roger definitely doesn't want to shoot it. But I also talk with the production right in the beginning and say that Roger would like to be involved in the visual effects afterwards. Usually the director wants that too because it is about maintaining the look.
