Borders Matter a Lot

i'm just curious, you know, how do borders matter in the soul? Do identities and communities. like transcend borders the way they might have an let's say, like lebanon, syria, palestine? That's a huge, huge question. I actually want to dig into a few of them. But first, i was just thinking about, like, the middle east, where i'm based. The borders matter a little bit more now, but like, historically they were pretty like, non existent in many ways. And it's not on a coincidence that this is this kind of nexus, nucleus of of forwardes.
