There are some reasonable arguments one could make that down play the importance of carbohydrate in the pre exercise breakfast. Carbohydrate, i would say, kind of the null hypothesis is that it makes sense to have a decent amount of carbs in that breakfast. But if you're really adamant about omitting it, there is at least some evidence suggesting that you're still probably going to be in pretty good shape,. assuming that the the overall intensity and volume of your session doesn't exceed what has been observed in these studies Make sense to me.
