The optimal investment strategy always struck me as unusual that how is it the optimal investment strategy doesn't even consider what the purpose of the assets are. And so a goal is based approach then incorporates the goals, the future, let's call them liabilities, of a particular client and incorporates those into the optimal investment solution.
