I'd Better Jump Into the Pond and Save the Child

A small child seems to have fallen into the pond and is evidently in danger of drowning. Peter asks readers to imagine that they are walking across a park with a pond in it, and an ornamental pond. The first thing tat they do is to look around and say, who's looking after this child? And at that point, i ask you, the listener or the reader, to think about whether that would be the right thing to do, or an acceptable thing to do - or whether it would be wrong....
