Is It Explanatory Theoretical Knowledge?

I don't think art is primarily explanatory theoretical knowledge, if that makes sense. I think it's primarily implicit knowledge that you gain from practice. Stuff that I may not even be able to explain to somebody else. Or even if I tried, I may explain it completely wrong because I don't understand it myself in terms of an explanation. It's kind of the old thing about trying to explain to someone how to tie your shoes.
