The Importance of a Magnetic Field for Life on Earth
The magnetic field could be just a phase. And that and not as necessary for the rise of life on our planet as we evolve and led to believe. So what about plate tectonics? Oh my god, that's literally a whole other interview. We don't know how long it's been in this current state. But there is evidence Venus may at some point in its past have had a lot of stuff moving around laterally, moving around horizontally on the surface. That is one of the hallmarks of plate Tectonics. It's not the only one. Whether that means that Venus had plate tectonic in its past is a humongous open question.
