John H. Cochran's new book, "The Fiscal Theory of the price level," just came out January 17th. John: I wrote a book that says if you drop $5 trillion worth of checks on people, you get inflation. We've seen the limits of the strategy cure everything with rivers and rivers of money. If you want a better economy, you got to fix the supply side of the economy, not just throw more money around.
