The Commandment Not to Have Other Gods

In Deuteronomy five, like six through, six through 10 all seemed like it went together literally. So to me from an ancient Near Eastern perspective, these two belong together. And so there's a historical logic to my conclusion and there's also a literary reason behind it. It seems like the I am Yahweh frame that and draw them together like they connect them to each other. The carved image goes right in the center of the chiasm with a prohibition on either side not to have other gods and not to bow down to them.
