Lizzie Ofer: Bill Public Renewables took four years to pass. The idea in 2018 turned into the set of bills in 2019, then those set of bills consolidated in 2020. They got rewritten substantially in 2021 after we had a clean sweep for all of our state legislative electoral races. And that first time, I think we won close to $7 billion in new taxes. It helped fund things like the Excluded Workers Fund and pandemic era federal support not given to undocumented immigrants across the United States. In 2022, we made the strategic decision to say, we're not going to be able to pass this bill without building more power in the state legislature. We ran several electoral campaigns
