i think we got here as a result of two things, which just really relate to the human condition. One is that i think people really struggle to respond to situations that haven't happened in their lifetime even if there's strong indicators they may happen. The other part is that humans were just not trained to respond to problems unless they're right in front of our face. And that's what's unfortunately, happened in basically every country in the world, now.
