Ludendorff marched with Hitler during his failed 1923 Munich Beer Hall Putsch. Ludendorff became an author and wrote a series of books about how Germany could win the next war. He concluded that the only way for them to beat the world the next time they fought the world was to embrace what he called totalitarian war.
