I feel like thomas carlyle is one of those figures that he's obviously very much an indicator. It's like a little kind of signal, a like handkerchief theory for gay people. But i do feel, don't you, i think that he's very mixed u as a thinker? A lot of his stuff doesn't really cut ice, like, all these decades later. He has a particular mood he affects. And so, yes, he's not logically consistent throughout.
