Do You Care More About Understanding All of Reality?

The cost is that you never fully understand the larger reality. You can have a non contradictory symbolic system or model, but it's not going to be complete. So choose where do your loyalties lie? Do you more care about understanding all of reality? Or do you care more about defending your little paradime and intellectual corner? Cause you can't have both.
