The Evolution of Assessment

The key question is if we're creating a system where we're trying to encourage the use of it in thoughtful critical ways. But then the assessments are still the kind of way they've always been and can be game very easily by the new tools, etc. And that's where we get these genuine fears of parents because the system is very competitive for good or bad. So we need to think carefully about how we do that. What I will say is artificial intelligence isn't about allowing the student to disengage from the thinking, and you can use it like that. That's just replacing the student thinking with the artificial intelligence thinking.
