The Two Dimensional Electron Gases

The electrons are stuck to the surface of liquid helium, but they can slide along it. It's like ping pong balls stuck between two ga planes. And so this is something people can actually build. But these are just sort of like idealized particles bouncing around and moving. They follow the laws of thermo dynamics in two dimensions.
